" All class. Local. Humane. Un-fussy. Effective. Dependable. Ahh! Working with Michael has been such a positive and helpful experience during what could have been a horribly stressful time in my family's life. I recommend him enthusiastically without qualification. I was tentative about real estate but needed to sell my mother's home for Medicaid purposes and I'm so glad a google search led us to Michael's appraisal services (which eventually parlayed into his realty services). I'm aware that this review may read as overly positive and I intend it to be such--because I truly believe this experience could have been hell but for Michael's positive role in it. In short, Mike is a stellar agent and appraiser and just a humane, all-around good person. He responded to our request for an appraisal immediately (approx Sep 2023). He gave us honest, realistic feedback on the condition of my parents' home and tactics to sell it. He listed it and shepherded it through several unanticipated hurdles (e.g. oil tank leakage and state testing, death in family, furnace shut down, oil tank replacement and refilling, our lack of funds in emptying out the home). He periodically checked on the temperature of the home during Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb (2023-2024) and several times notified me that we needed more oil; he even restarted the furnace for us on multiple occasions. He helped us find a committed buyer, who stuck around during delays, and he cooperated with our attorney and the buyer's agent professionally. During a time of upheaval and uncertainty, there was a tremendous feeling of relief knowing I could count on him. And I did! I delegated some tasks: Mike even transported my mother's medical equipment to be picked up by the supplier after the closing occurred. My spouse is generally pretty skeptical about professionals in general, and I often argue that as professionals he and I honestly care about the quality of our work and how we impact others. In my opinion, Michael is an example of a professional person who cares about the quality of his work and how he impacts his clients. It is possible to trust professionals! Michael is all class. "
